John Leisenring, Sr. Obituary John Andrew Leisenring, Sr., 72, of Canton (Winchester), Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his home. John was born on January 12, 1953, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Hayes A. and Vera Kathryn (Jones) Leisenring. John was employed at area factories and also worked in Lawn Care and Waste Management until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, receiving his honorable discharge. John could be found tinkering or fixing anything and everything and loved to plant his garden every spring. If you couldnt find him in his garden, he was probably enjoying himself at the casino, going every weekend that he could with his daughter. Some interesting facts that you might or might not know about John: he was a Ford man through-and-through, he loved windmills and the color blue, and his favorite number was four. John will forever be remembered for his Jolly demeanor and his happy-go-lucky attitude. John is survived by two daughters: Lisa and Leann; two step-daughters: Lori and Linda; nine grandchildren: Bailey, Abby, Gabby, Emma, Trinity, Serena, Zayden, Drayden and Michael; his brother Hayes and his sister Julie. John is preceded in death by his parents, his son John Jr., and his brother James "Jimmy". No services will be held at this time.
