John Lenz Obituary John Lenz, 73, of Plainville, passed away July 8, 2025, at 4:32 PM at his home in Plainville. John was born July 17, 1951, the son of Eugene and Antonine (Huber) Lenz in Quincy, Illinois. He graduated from Liberty High School. He spent his forty-six-year career as an exceptional welder and fabricator for the Gardner-Denver Corporation in Quincy. John enjoyed riding mules, coon hunting, fishing and gardening. John is survived by two children, Stacy (Chad) Hoffman of Camp Point and Eric (Sarah) Lenz of Carthage; step-children, Tom (Samantha) Bent, David (Jessica) Bent and Amy Vickers; grandchildren, Abby, Lexi and Arynn Hoffman and Natalie and Zachary Lenz; a sister, Nancy (Tony) Peters; two brothers, Jim (Chris) Lenz and Paul (Sonya) Lenz; a sister-in-law, Sandy Wand; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Larry, Leo, Mark and Lloyd Lenz; and a sister-in-law, Debra Lenz. Cremation rites have been accorded by Printy Funeral Home of Carthage.
