John 'Steve' Value Obituary John Stephen "Steve" Value, 59, of Fort Madison, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home in Fort Madison. Steve was born on September 7, 1963, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of John and Jewell (Arnold) Value. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1983, and went on to receive his associate in general studies at Southeastern Community College, as well as receiving other certificates. He was employed as a welder throughout the area. On September 6, 1997, Steve was united in marriage to Donna "Mindy" Taylor in Alexandria, Missouri. She survives. Steve was a member of the Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending his free time pheasant hunting, playing pool, fishing. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Steve is survived by his wife Mindy Value of Fort Madison; four children: Danielle (Martin Decker) Yaunk of Fort Madison, Jeremy Robinson of Macomb, Illinois, Levi Value of Fort Madison, and Chad (Stephanie) Yaunk of Dickenson, Texas; eleven grandchildren: Madison, Gavin, Noah, Julian, Patience, Pride, Karma and Legend Value; Mylee and Kyrin Decker; and Eleanor Yaunk; one grandchild on the way; and his sister Cindy (Dave) Wessel of Carthage, Illinois. Steve is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his nephew Christopher Brooks; one cousin and several aunts and uncles. Steves life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Keokuk. Visitation will be held at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday directly before the service. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Donna "Mindy" Value for expenses.
