Judith Bickel Obituary Judith Ann Bickel, 81, of Keokuk, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. Judith was born on January 25, 1943, in Campton, Kentucky, the daughter of Dorsey and Verna (Taulbee) Brewer. On September 20, 1963, she was united in marriage to Harlan Dean Bickel in Pinecastle, Florida. He preceded her in death in 2017. Judith moved from Florida to Keokuk in 1965 to start their business. She owned Deans Custom Auto Trim with her husband for fifty years and became a private pilot in 1972, flying skydivers for over twenty years. She enjoyed dancing, walking her Boston Terrier and bowled for thirty years. Judith is survived by her sister Sylvia Townsend of Owenton, Kentucky; her nephews Dewayne (Mary) Townsend and Vernon (Rose) Townsend, both of Owenton; and great-niece and great-nephew Brittany and Chris Townsend. Judith is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. No services will be held. Memorials may be directed to Keokuk Animal Services.
