Judith Billings Obituary Judith Billings, 83, of Branson, Missouri, formerly of Carthage, passed away at 10:15 AM Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Judith was born June 26, 1939, in Pittsfield, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde Russell and Maude Elsie (Weaver) Barton. On December 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to John L. Billings. He preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Luther Harkins who also preceded her in death. Judy had worked at Motorola in Quincy and later owned the Standard Oil/Amoco Station in Carthage with her husband, John. She enjoyed selling Avon products for many years. She later owned Licken Lils Ice Cream Shop in Reed Springs, Missouri and also worked as a hostess and waitress for local restaurants in Branson. Judy was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling, attending live shows and music, playing cards, doing crosswords, dancing, boating, fishing and traveling in her motorhome throughout the United States. She also loved her dogs Bonnie BeBop, Sir George LaPorge, George Bear and Hank.
Judith is survived by her daughters, Lori Ann (Bob) Merchant of San Pedro, CA; and Tara Sue (Troy) Perry of Hamilton; son-in-law, Steve Clark of Carthage; grandchildren, Robert Conor (Kat) Billings-Clark, John Tyler (Jayne) Billings-Clark, Abigail Grace Merchant, Brooklyn Rose Merchant, Carter John Merchant, Cody Allen Perry, Delaney Nicole (Jordan) Billings, and Morgan Kaylin Perry; one great grandchild, Tyler James McQuaid. She is also survived by her long-time roommate and friend, Wendy Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her eldest daughter, Darla Billings-Clark; and her sister, Greta McCoy.
Graveside services will be held at Shearer Cemetery in New Canton, Illinois at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
