Kathy Cravens Obituary Kathy Joann Cravens, 64, of Keokuk, passed away at 3:39 PM Friday, April 1, 2016, at her home. Kathy was born July 6, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of James and Marion "Maxine" Mitchell Marshall. She married Rick Cravens on July 6, 1989, in Keokuk. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and had been employed in production at Henniges Automotive from 1972 until 2013. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She belonged to the Henniges Retirement Club and USW Local #444 . She enjoyed going to yard sales but her biggest enjoyment was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed looking at clouds to see what forms she saw. Kathy's faith gave her peace in her last years. Kathy is survived by her husband Rick of Keokuk; a daughter, Melisa (Tom Ellison) Stepp of Keokuk; three stepchildren, Jason Cravens of Keokuk, Shianna (Jeremy) Matlock of Wayland, Missouri, and Lena Davis of Keokuk; her mother Maxine Marshall of Keokuk; two brothers, Dennis (Michelle) Marshall and Todd Marshall, both of Keokuk; a sister Jennifer (Dan) Oakland of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Roger Marshall; and her grandparents. Visitation will be held after 2:00PM Wednesday at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau in Keokuk, IA and family will meet friends from 5 to 8 PM. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be directed to Hope Lodge in Iowa City or to Women of Steel Local #444 for their local charity work.
