Kenneth Latta Obituary Kenneth Melvin Latta, 92, of Keokuk, died early Friday, May 18, 2007, at his home. Mr. Latta was born October 12, 1914 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Ora and Theresa Dahms Latta. He married Kathryn Geneva Russell on March 3, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 1, 1992. She preceded him in death on April 1, 1992. He lived in Keokuk and the area all his life. He was a farmer. He had been employed by Huiskamp Shoe Factory, Swifts, Union Carbide, and Fruehauf. He was a member of the First Christian Church and loved farming. He is survived by his Son: Ronald Rex Latta and his wife, Lonnie, of Miami, Florida; Daughter-in-law: Frances Latta of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; One brother: Edward Latta of Burlington, Iowa; Three grandchildren: Angela Kay Morehouse of Warsaw, Illinois; Mark Rex Latta of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; April Michaelle Latta of Miami, Florida; Two great grandchildren: Summer Sky Latta and Siena Moon Latta. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Larry; and three brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating.
