Larry Davis Obituary Larry Richard Davis, 74, of Montrose, passed away Monday afternoon, March 25, 2019. Larry was born November 2, 1944, in Scotland County, MO, to Richard L. and Margaret Arnold Davis. He was united in marriage to Mary J. Korschgen on September 18, 1967 in Keokuk. She preceded Larry in death in 2013. Larry was in the Iowa Army National Guard for 22 years. He had a PhD in safety engineering and was self-employed. He spent a majority of his life in the Keokuk and Montrose area. Larry was semi-retired from his business and when he wasn't working, he enjoyed gardening, being with his dogs and reading books usually regarding war history. When you couldn't find Larry doing one of these activities, you could find him on the computer looking up information on various topics. He was also a member of the American Legion 41 in Keokuk. Larry is survived by 3 children; Lori (Kirk) Inman of Quincy, IL, Jeff (Pam) Davis of Ankeny, IA, and Wendi Davis of Montrose, IA, 8 grandchildren; Shelbee Ellison, Brandon Inman, Michael Hensen, Nathan Hensen, Jonathan Washburne, Millie Inman, Caleb Davis and Courtney Davis, 3 brothers; Lynn Davis of Michigan, Tim (Jennifer) Davis of Belvidere, IL, Tom (Mindi) Davis of Keokuk, 2 step-sisters; Rose Ross, Mahomet, IL, Kit Hayden of Keokuk, one step-brother; Jim Means. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, step mother, Mary; brother, Howard Davis; nephew, Isaiah Davis. Celebration of Life for Larry will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk. Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2019, after 3 pm with family meeting friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk.
