Lois Jackson Obituary Lois M. Jackson, 83 of Albuquerque, NM died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Kaiser-Permanente San Jose Medical Center in San Jose, CA. Lois was born on June 4, 1928 a daughter to Ernest & Ethel Kerr Scott in Keokuk, IA. She lived in Keokuk until 2002 when she moved to New Mexico. She worked at Chanen's in the office and later as a pharmacy clerk at Keasling's. Lois married Richard Simmons on June 4, 1946 in Keokuk and he preceded her in death in 1961. She later married C.M. Jackson on December 31, 1964 in Keokuk and he preceded her in death in 1993. Lois was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk and Rio Rancho United Methodist Church in Rio Rancho, NM. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary. Lois is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Simmons of Albuquerque, NM and Shari Babcock and her husband Steve of Rio Rancho, NM; three stepchildren, Mike, Patty and Nick Jackson of Keokuk; her twin sister: Doris Porter and her husband James of Keokuk; one grandson: Steven Babcock and his wife Rebekah; a granddaughter: Carly Jackson of Nauvoo, Illinois; two great grandsons: Scott & Brayden Babcock; and one great granddaughter: Alannah Babcock all of San Jose, CA. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Harold and Robert Scott; a granddaughter: Carly Jackson of Nauvoo, Illinois; and one sister: Margaret Patterson. Memorial services will be Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center located at 1212 Concert St. in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation is from 10:00 am until the time of service Monday morning. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
