Louis Raymond Juel, Jr., 74, of Argyle, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at New London Specialty Care in New London, Iowa.

Louis was born on June 5, 1952, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Louis Raymond Juel, Sr., and Dorothy Louise Boatman. He graduated from Fort Madison High School, and went on to find employment as a farmer, trucker and heavy machine driver. Louis enjoyed spending time with his friends and worked construction as a side job and hobby.

Louis is survived by his son Devin (Teleasha) Juel of Argyle, Iowa; three grandchildren: Kinley, Kaliegh and Kohen, all of Argyle; his sister Shirley (Harold) Baker of Fort Madison, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Sharon Kamp, Judy Holmes and Butch Juel.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Claypoole Cemetery in Wever, Iowa.
