Lyle Lawson Obituary Lyle Lawson, 87, of Carthage, passed away at The LaMoine in Macomb on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 7:46 PM. Lyle was born August 7, 1936, the son of Marrious and Goldie (Kaler) Lawson in Keokuk, Iowa. He was raised in the Adrian area and went to high school in Nauvoo/Colusa and Hamilton. He received his business degree from Gem City College in Quincy in 1959. He was united in marriage to Cora June Morton from 1959 to 1977 and they had two sons. He was later united in marriage to Marcia Lowell on July 28, 1979. Lyle enjoyed farming and had also worked many years at Marine Trust in Carthage. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Carthage where he served as a deacon for many years and baked the bread for communion each week. Lyle is survived by two sons, Lex Lawson of Carthage and Mike (Tami) Lawson of Galesburg; a daughter-in-law, Carol Lawson of Colchester; grandchildren, Alexis (Brodey) Kramer and Katie Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia; a brother, Dale Lawson; and a sister, Frances Hays. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 8, 2023, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 3:00 7:00 PM Thursday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with family meeting friends from 5:00 7:00. Printy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
