Marilyn Stark Obituary Marilyn J. Stark, 81, of Keokuk, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at her residence in Keokuk. Marilyn was born on August 25, 1943, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Marie (Thompson) Stark. She was employed at Sheller-Globe and Swift throughout her working career. In her free time, she enjoyed watching sports and old westerns, collecting angels and playing cards with her sisters. She will always be remembered for her loving and selfless character, outgoing personality, and her never-ending love for her family. Marilyn is survived by her sister Anna Russell of Keokuk; two brothers: Roy "Butch" Stark of Florida and Ronald (Marcy) Stark of Osceola, Iowa; her brother-in-law Jim Gilbert of Keokuk; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she considered her own children. She also considered Jeannie Svejda and Rheann Humes to be her family, and appreciated the care she received from them and all her other caregivers. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Virginia "Kathy" Gilbert; her brother-in-law Harry Russell, her sister-in-law Karen Stark; and three nieces: Dolly Stice, Carol Holmes and Teresa Russell-Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, July 15, at Printy Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association.
