Mary Boyd Obituary Mary Worrell Boyd, 83, of Carthage, passed away at 11:11 A.M. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at her grandsons home in LaHarpe. Mary was born November 25, 1931, in Dallas City, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Anna (Ahlers) Kerfoot. She graduated from Dallas City High School and went on to get her teaching certificate. On March 7, 1953, she was united in marriage to Larry Worrell in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2009. On June 17, 2011, she was united in marriage to Richard Boyd. He survives. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage and the Worthen Earth Searchers. She had also served on the American Legion and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliaries. She loved flea markets, traveling, and spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her daughter, Alicia Worrell Alred of Carthage; her grandson, Ryan Edmon (fiancAC., Melissa) Alred of LaHarpe; great grandchildren, Destiny, Karlee, and Ryan, Lynden, Matthew, Neveah, and Emalyn, Lacy, Kale, Coulter and Jeb; her husband, Richard of Carthage; a nephew she raised as a son, Kip (Jody) Kerfoot; and a brother, Howard (Virginia) Kerfoot of LaHarpe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; a son, Shawn Worrell; a nephew she raised as a son, Rex Kerfoot; one sister and a brother. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Moss Ridge Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for Mary's great grandchildren.
