Mary Plowman Obituary Mary Plowman, 97, of Carthage, passed away in her daughter's home Sunday morning, March 8, 2015, in Carthage. Mary was born December 22, 1917, in Meeker, Colorado the daughter of Robert and Leona (Reynolds) Nelson. On April 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Walter Plowman in Rifle, Colorado. He preceded her in death. Mary is survived by a her daughter, Lea Ann Boland of Carthage; two sons, Jerry (Becky) Plowman of Peoria and Larry (Susan) Plowman of Germantown Hills, Illinois; a step-daughter, Sharon (James) Quinlan of Grand Junction, Colorado; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and a son, Joe Frizzell. Family will meet friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage on Saturday, March 14, 2015. There will be no services. Memorials may be directed to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or H.U.G.S. for breast cancer awareness. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
