Mary Whitledge Obituary Mary Inez Whitledge, 88, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at her home in Keokuk. Mary was born on April 19, 1936, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Henry "Red" and Gladys Pearl (Connor) Guymon. On November 20, 1970, she was united in marriage to Walter Eugene Whitledge. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2016. Mary was employed as a housekeeper at several establishments in Keokuk. She enjoyed listening to country music, going to the casino, needlepoint, plants and gardening. Most of all, she loved animals, especially her dogs. Mary is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Mary Veronica Jefferson and Alice Krammer, and three brothers: Ralph Bouillion, Edward Guymon and Richard Guymon. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Keokuk Animal Services or the family.
