Norma McMillan Obituary Norma Lucille Roberts McMillan, 88, of Carthage, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at 12:40 P.M. at the LaHarpe-Davier Care Center in LaHarpe, Illinois. Norma was born June 3, 1928, the daughter of Glen and Beulah (Hughbanks) Roberts in Plymouth, Illinois. She graduated from Plymouth High School. She retired from GTE Telephone Company after 22 years. She had also worked at Memorial Hospital in Carthage for 20 years. Her health had prevented her from working the last several years. Norma loved being around people and was a life-time member of the Illinois Telephone Pioneer Association and the V.F.W Auxiliary Post 5117. She was of the Christian Faith. On April 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Frank Moore and they had two sons, Larry Lee and Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Moore. Frank preceded her in death in 1966. In 1969 she was united in marriage to Ralph "Mac" McMillan. He preceded her in death in 2001. Norma is survived by two granddaughters, Tina (Lonnie) Boley of Warsaw and Brenda (William) Steck of Carman; a son-in-law, Brian Springer of Kahoka, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Moore of Prairie City; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two sons, Larry Lee and Gerald "Jerry"; her daughter, Patricia Springer; a daughter-in-law, Linda Moore; and two brothers, Howard and Eugene Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.
