Philip Liebert Obituary Philip J. Liebert, 71, of Hamilton, Illinois, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away in Galesburg, Illinois, Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:53 AM. Philip was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Stanley Herman and Viginia (Krueger) Liebert on January 16, 1952. He graduated from Hamilton High School and received his bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and the University of Louisville. He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. On August 11, 1990, he was united in marriage to Kennetha Rountree in Louisville, Kentucky. Philip is survived by his wife, Kennetha, of Hamilton; children, Joshua, and Kristin Ash; stepdaughter, Melissa (Brian) Davis; his mother, Virginia Doll; grandchildren, Dru Middleton, Sabrina Nolet and Jonathan Davis; great grandchildren, Aijah and Asyah; one niece; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; a stepdaughter, Aimee Goble; a great grandson, J.J.; and two brothers, David and Steve Liebert. A memorial service will be held at a later date with military rites. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
