Robert Caldwell Obituary Robert C. Caldwell, 75, of Ellington, Missouri, and formerly of Keokuk, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at his home.
He was born on December 13, 1934 in Downers Grove, Illinois, the son of John Daniel and Mary Susan Coons Caldwell. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jane Sherman in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives.
Robert lived in Keokuk, Iowa for eighteen years. He moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas and then to Ellington, Missouri six years ago. He was employed by Union Electric for forty years as a Substation Supervisor. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Barbershop Quartets of America in Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Caldwell of Ellington; two daughters, Ann Margaret Pietroburgo of St. Louis and Christine Perkins and her husband, William, of St. Louis; three grandchildren Layla, Oscar, and Arthur; one sister, Alice Kingsley and her husband, James; one cousin, Margaret Brunker who raised him; sister-in-law, June Sherman of Arkansas; nephew-in-law, Kenneth Gilbertsen and his wife, Julia, and daughter, Krislyn; nieces and nephews .
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Graveside services were Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.
