Robert Corr Obituary Robert James Corr, 80, of Keokuk, died at 6:34 AM Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Keokuk Area Hospital. He was born October 15, 1922 in Lee County, Iowa, the son of William and Sarah Schrepfer Corr. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He lived in Keokuk most of his life and had worked in production at National Carbide and later did construction and yard work. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Lutheran Layman's League, and American Legion Post #41. He is survived by a sister, Wilma Dienst of Kahoka, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Ellen Corr of Keokuk; a niece, Mary Koechle of Keokuk; three nephews, Charles Corr, Henry Dienst and Earl Corr; and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert Corr; a brother-in-law, Floyd Dienst; and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held Monday, December 30, 2002, at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Rasmussen officiating. Burial with Military Rites was in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or Keokuk Nursing Center Activity Fund.
