Robert Jefferson Obituary Robert Lee Jefferson, 52, of Keokuk, Iowa died 6:55 p.m. on February 12, 2011 at Keokuk Area Hospital. Robert was born on February 5, 1959, in Keokuk, IA, the son of Jessie Junior and Twilla L. Perkins Jefferson. He married Mary White in 1982 in Kahoka, Missouri. She survives. James lived twenty-five years in Minnesota before moving back to Keokuk in August 2010. He retired from Wal-Mart fourteen years ago and worked in the Maintenance Department and then Receiving Department. He loved to fish and watch football and he collected Dallas Cowboys memorabilia. He loved watching movies. He enjoyed his grandchildren and talked about them often. Robert is survived by his wife: Mary Jefferson of Rochester, Minnesota; two sons: Kenny Jefferson, of Rochester, Minnesota and Michael Jefferson, of Rochester, Minnesota; one daughter: Victoria White of Rochester, Minnesota; seven brothers & sisters: Daniel Jefferson and his wife Dot of Keokuk, Iowa, David Jefferson and his wife Gayle of Stephenville, Texas, Margaret Bell of Ft. Worth, Texas, Carolyn Mendenhall of Keokuk, Iowa Patricia Tripp and her husband Robert K. of Keokuk, Iowa, Linda Meyer of Warsaw, Illinois and Thelma Jefferson of Keokuk, Iowa; four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William; one niece and one nephew. Funeral services were Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 7:00 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa with Rev. John Curtis officiating. Following the services, his body was cremated. Visitation Service
