Robert Tripp Obituary Robert "Bob" Kemp Tripp, 65, of Keokuk, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Robert was born on June 14, 1957, in Keokuk, Iowa, at St. Joseph Hospital, the son of George and Shirley (Hammel) Bell. In 1982, he was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Jefferson in Keokuk. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2014. Robert was an avid Cubs fan and a Salvation Army Ringer. He attended the Salvation Army church and was a Jr. and Sr. Soldier of the Corps. Robert loved comedy and action movies and spending time with his family and children, two of whom were nieces that adopted and raised. He was employed by the City of Keokuk and also worked several farmhand jobs. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite pastimes. Robert is survived by two children: Donna Jefferson of Keokuk and Bobby Tripp of Ottumwa, Iowa; three sisters: Mary Starr of La Belle, Missouri, Lori Chartalian of Kirksville, Missouri, and Penny Corbin of Knox City, Missouri; two brothers: Chuck Bell of Georgia and Stacie Bell of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, his son Brandon Tripp, his brother Kevin Tripp and his sister Carolyn Tripp. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Salvation Army in Keokuk.
