Robert Stephens, Jr. Obituary Robert F. Stephens, Jr., 66, of Warsaw, passed away at the Jacksonville Skilled Nursing Center on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Robert was born February 21, 1957, the son of Robert Floyd and Bernice (Adams) Stephens, Sr. at the Eglin Air Force Base in Crestview, Florida. He graduated from Carthage High School and went on to receive his associate degree. On July 9, 1975, Robert joined the United States Navy. He served in Norfolk, Virginia receiving his Honorable Discharge on January 13, 1977. Robert then completed his police training at Western Illinois University and served as a police officer in Nauvoo for many years. He also served on the area Rescue Dive Team. Robert enjoyed being a HAM Radio operator and was a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses. Robert is survived by his daughter, Desiree Ayers (Bob Kruse) of Warsaw; granddaughters, Abigail and Makenzie Ayers and Myra Hornung. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Baby P. Graveside services will be held at Harmony Township near Bentley at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with military rites. Printy Funeral Home of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
