Ruth David Obituary Ruth Ann David, 78, of Carthage, passed away at 12:46 A.M. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Unity Point Health in Keokuk, Iowa. Ruth Ann was born April 11, 1939, at St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Bryan and Gladys (Timberlake) Hardy. She attended Carthage High School graduating in 1957. She married Donald Lee David on June 8, 1963 at the First United Methodist Church in Carthage, Illinois. She retired from the Driver's License facility as a clerk after twenty-nine years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carthage. She loved roller skating, reading, and listening to country music. She enjoyed traveling with her parents at an early age, and then later with her husband. She enjoyed multiple trips to the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Donald David of Carthage. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Rolland L. Hardy, William B. Hardy, and Robert D. Hardy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 2018 at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until time of services at 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Carthage. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
