Ruth Doss Obituary Ruth E. Doss, 95, of Keokuk, died 4:35 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Lexington Square in Keokuk. She was born August 26, 1910 in Kahoka, Missouri, the daughter of Augusta and Florence Peckham Moore. She was married Lester R. Doss on January 26, 1927. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1987. She was a resident of Keokuk and was a member of the First Christian Church. She attended Jenny Lee Sunday school, the Keokuk Garden Club and U Go I Go Card Club. She is survived by one son: Jack L. Doss of Venice, Florida; one daughter: Betty Ricker of Clementon, New Jersey; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandson. Funeral services were Saturday, January 28, 2006, at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. William S. Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park, Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
