Ruth Kremer Obituary Ruth Ann Kremer, 64, of Carthage, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 29, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy at 2:03 P.M.
Ruth was born December 31, 1953, the daughter of Lester and Pauline (Berg) Nystrom in Beloit, Wisconsin. She attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 1974, she was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Kremer in Beloit. He survives. Ruth was dedicated in her work with special needs clients and students of all ages. She worked for District 287 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lincoln Elementary School in Ft. Madison, Iowa and the Carthage Adult Developmental Center. Ruth had also worked with canine rescue groups for Clumber Spaniels and King Charles Cavalier Spaniels and most recently offered her family's heart and home to adopt Clumbers, Lark and Maud, and King Charles Cavalier, Emmy. She was an accomplished fiber artist and designer. Ruth was an avid reader of history and British Empire history in particular. She also enjoyed creative cooking and gardening.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Kremer of Carthage; two sons, Jacob (Cynthia) Kremer of Plainfield, Illinois and Gabriel Kremer of Carthage; two grandchildren, Louisa and Anastasia; one brother, John (Carroll) Nystrom of Holland, Ohio; and two sisters, Mary (Mike) Brockman of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Sarah (Tim) Janz of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
