Sharilyn Carr Obituary Sharilyn R. Carr, 60, of Keokuk, died at 5:20 PM Monday, January 22, 2007, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Mrs. Carr was born September 9, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle Aakvik Booker. She married Bill Carr on April 12, 1968 in Carthage, Illinois. He survives.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Tops #456 and a member of Keokuk Garden Club. She was a former member of the Kings Daughters. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and loved her pets. She was an active member of the Relay for Life.
She is survived by her husband Bill Carr of Keokuk; a son, David W. Skow of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; two daughters, Dana Davis and her husband, Robert, of Honolulu, Hawaii and Melissa Krome and husband, Drew, of Keokuk; four grandchildren, Arielle Davis, Anthony Davis, Makenna Davis, Paige Krome; two sisters, Marilyn Wixom and her husband, Bill, Jr., of Keokuk and Carilyn Brooker-Wielend and husband, Greg, of Ada, Michigan; and her mother, Myrtle Booker of Keokuk.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; mother-in-law; step father-in-law; sister-in-law, Jean Nickel; brother-in-law, Bob Carr; and a nephew, Ryan Wixom.
Funeral services were January 27, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. William Olmsted officiating. Her body will be cremated following the services.
