Sierra Bryant Obituary Sierra "Sue" Bryant, 70, of Keokuk, died at 5:06 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. Sue was born July 16, 1945, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Chester and Ruby Hodge Young. Helping to raise her was her stepfather Carl Held and step mother Mary Young. On August 30, 1964, she was united in marriage to Lonnie D. Bryant in Kahoka, Missouri. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and had worked as manager at Taco Johns for eight years. Her best and most favorite job was being "Mom and Grandma". Sue was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends over a good meal. Sue is survived by her husband Lonnie Bryant of Keokuk; daughter Dianna Bryant of Keokuk; son Steven Edward "Eddy" (Raelynn) Bryant of Keokuk; step mother Mary Young; eight grandchildren, Mersades Snively, Shadee Tajeddin, Chase Bryant, Sira Tajeddin, Alexus Snively, Brittany Bryant, Rayden Winkler and Xailynn Bryant; and great grandchildren, Remira Snively, Joseph Curfman, Kazzarian Stewart, Jayce Curfman and Hannah Curfman. She is also survived by brothers Wayne (Rhonda) Young of Carthage, Illinois and Hurley (Bonnie) Gibson of Little Falls, Minnesota; and sister Onia Hamilton of Eureka Springs, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Connie Jackson, son Lonnie Dean Bryant II, brother Chester Young Jr., sister Barb Debrackeleire, her parents, and her stepfather. A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016. at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street in Keokuk with Pastor John Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista (Big Mound) Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
