Tyler Johnson Obituary Tyler Drew Johnson, 25, of Carthage and Basco, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage. Tyler was born on June 8, 1992, in Carthage, Illinois, the son of Eric Donald Johnson and Barbara Elaine Krueger. A graduate of Carthage High School, Tyler grew up with a fierce love of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, muddin' and arrowhead hunting. He was known for the life of the party, and was always looking for adventure. He had a natural gift for making people laugh. He would do anything for anyone and loved his family, his unborn child, and his dog Maggie. Tyler lived his life to the fullest every day. Tyler is survived by his father Eric D. Johnson of Basco; his mother Barb E. (Bill Cleesen) Krueger of Carthage; his brother Jadon (Girlfriend Deaven) Johnson of Warsaw; his sister Brooklyn Krueger of Carthage; his girlfriend Lindsay Cleesen and their unborn child of Carthage, his grandma Eleanor Johnson of Basco; his grandma Shirley Stephenson of Carthage; nine uncles: Dale (Marcia) Johnson of Basco, Wayne (Carla) Johnson of Basco, Keith (Carla) Johnson of Hamilton, Kent (Carolyn) Johnson of Hamilton, Kurt (Mary) Johnson of Bowen, Marc Johnson of Hamilton, Bobby Reed of Wever, Terry Reed of Fort Madison, and Monte (Jodi) Johnson of Hamilton; three aunts: Marla (Eldon) Bruns of Loraine, Karla Johnson of Carthage, and Misty (Doug) McCluskey of Palmyra, Missouri. Other survivors include his nephew Carter Eric, numerous cousins. Tyler is preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Dale Reed and Loren Johnson. Tyler's life will be celebrated with a visitation at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage from 2 to 7 pm, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, with family meeting friends from 4 to 7 pm, and a graveside service at 10 am on Wednesday, September 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Carthage. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Tyler Johnson for burial expenses.
