William Chaknine Obituary William Joseph Chaknine, 47, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at his home. William was born January 8, 1964, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Thelma Chaknine. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1982. He also graduated from Wichita Automotive Institute, Wichita, Kansas, in 1985. He had been employed by Coca-Cola as a deliveryman. He was a member of New Testament Christian Church and Mississippi Rat Pack Car Club. He is survived by his partner, Kelli Davis of Keokuk; a son Aaron Chaknine of Keokuk and a daughter Brenna Chaknine of Hamilton, Illinois; his mother, Thelma Chaknine of Keokuk; two brothers, Scott Chaknine and Randy Chaknine and his wife Jennifer, all of Keokuk; two sisters, Anita Arguello and her husband Francisco and Tammy Ramirez and her husband Juan, all of Elgin, Illinois; two aunts, Alma Watts and Sherry Chaknine, both of Keokuk; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emma and Frank Chaknine; uncle, William Chaknine; and two aunts, Mable West and Barbara Small. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at New Testament Christian Church with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Monday at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the family.
