William Winn Obituary William Jerrell Winn, 79, of Keokuk, passed away on February 6, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Bill was born in Keokuk on November 8, 1935, to William and Edna Snowden Winn. He was united in marriage to Jackie Baxter on September 26, 1970. She survives. Bill was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and was employed in production at Sheller-Globe for over forty years. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Keokuk for many years and later attended Calvary Foursquare Church. He loved to hunt, fish and work in his garden, often sharing his garden produce with others. Bill took pride in the fact that he was a blood donor. His life was centered around his children and his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife Jackie of Keokuk; his daughter Amy (Jay) Kruse of Keokuk; two sons: Brian (Christy) Winn of Fort Madison and Stephen (Cindy) Winn of Madrid, Iowa; and his grandchildren: Aury Winn, Colton Jones, Kaitlyn Winn, Fiona Winn, Emily Kruse, Kendall, Matthew, two other granddaughters and a new grandbaby due to arrive in May. He is also survived by five sisters: Barbara (Dallas) Smeltser of Alexandria, MO; Mary Alice (Gene) Arthur, Carol (Gary) Lovell, Sandy (Allen) Hall, and Judy Winn, and two brothers Michael (Neoma) Winn and Daniel (Jennifer) Winn all of Keokuk. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathleen Winn, and his brother Lewis Edward Winn. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 10th, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, with burial to follow at Keokuk National Cemetery with full military rites. Pastor Dan Davis will be officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9th, after 2 PM, with family meeting friends for 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
