Charles Edward Mullens

Charles Edward Mullens, 79, of Hamilton, passed away at 4:24 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Charles was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Orville and Thelma (Hickey) Mullens on May 16, 1943.  In 2005, he was united in marriage to Carol.  Charles worked for Verizon Telecommunications for over 30 years as a technician.  Charles loved flying his plane and boating.  He enjoyed coaching baseball in Hamilton and working as a field groomer for the Hamilton baseball and softball fields in his retirement years.  He was a longtime active member of the Masonic Lodge in Hamilton, the Quincy Consistory, Shriner’s and Scottish Rites.

Charles is survived by his wife, Carol, two children; three stepchildren; and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; three brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Friday afternoon, January 20, 2023, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton.  The family will not be present.  Memorials may be directed to Shriner’s hospital or the Masonic Lodge.  Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
