Charles "Chuck" Lee Blanchard

Charles “Chuck” Lee Blanchard, 40, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.

Charles was born on November 21, 1980, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of William and Joy A. (Smith) Blanchard. He was proud owner of JCB services and dedicated 20 years of service to Waggoner Solutions, Co.

Charles was quite the outdoorsman. He loved riding motorcycles, four wheelers, boating and hunting along with off-road trucks and operating machinery. Charles also enjoyed playing video games, grilling and fireworks. He will be greatly missed.

Charles is survived by his parents: William Blanchard of Brownsville, TN and Joy A. Blanchard of Hamilton, IL; two brothers: William (Sarah) Blanchard of Montrose, IA and James (Brittany) Blanchard of Hamilton, IL; paternal grandmother: Delores Blanchard of Tennessee; an extra special niece: Bekkah Grate of Peoria, IL; super special nieces and nephews: Shaine, Selena, Seth and Riley Blanchard and Jeremy Gillette; nieces and nephews: Rikki Blanchard, Samantha Spiker, Christopher Blanchard, Alainna Happs and Beylenn Happs; bonus brother: John England of Hamilton, IL; bonus family: Mary Lou and Charles Shumaker and boys of Hamilton, IL; great aunt: Emma Cathey of Brownsville, TN; great niece: Dakota Preston of Hamilton, IL; special friends: Andy and Maggie Grate of Peoria, IL and dog Konan Lee.

Charles is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Riley and Frances Smith of Tennessee and paternal grandfather William C. Blanchard of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
