Deborah Lynn Fenton, 74, of Hamilton, peacefully passed away in her home April 2, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Deborah was born in Keokuk, Iowa, September 23, 1947, daughter of “Red” and Eva Young, owners of the Crystal Lunch. She graduated from Keokuk Senior High School in the class of 1966. She married Allen, her husband of 52 years, on December 13, 1969. Together they raised three children, Heather of Quincy, Heath of Louisville, Kentucky and Brandon of Pontiac, Illinois in a home filled with love and laughter. Deb loved her family fiercely and infinitely with that love extending to her brothers and sisters and their families. Deb was a beloved wife, mom, grandma, nana, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will forever be in our hearts.
Deb loved spending time with her grandkids, the outdoors and fishing with “Al”. She was incredibly creative and talented, and her laughter made everything just right. She worked as a lab tech; however, she was most passionate about raising her three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard (Jean) Young; a son, Ward Ryan; and beloved dog, Jack.
She is survived by her husband, Allen; daughter, Heather (Jeni); sons, Heath (Laura) and Brandon (Brooke); seven grandchildren; brother, Jim (Jean) Young; and sisters, Marilyn (Jerry) Stringfellow and Carol Barr. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; five granddogs; and their bird, Lance.
Family will meet friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hamilton Public Library.
The Fenton family invites all family and friends to gather at the First Christian Church basement at 961 Walnut Street in Hamilton from 11:30am - 2pm, Thursday, April 7th, for a lunch social to celebrate “mom”.
