Erin Bergheger Obituary

Erin Marie Bergheger, 24, of Meadowlakes, TX left this world way to soon on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Marble Falls, TX.

She was born on Wednesday, February 12, 1997, in Keokuk, IA to Kenneth Bergheger Jr. and Jennifer (Huffman)Jones. She graduated from Hahnville High School and obtained a national EMT license in Dec 2016.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Barb Bergheger from Keokuk, IA

She is survived by her mother Jennifer (Jerry) Jones of Bowen, IL; her father Ken (Spring) Bergheger Jr of Hahnville, LA; her grandparents: Shirley McClain of Hamilton, IL; Chris Huffman of Warsaw, IL; Ken Bergheger Sr. of Keokuk, IA; Larry and Peggy Jones of Monmouth, IL; and Terry and Carol Woodworth of Onalaska, TX; her siblings: Tristan Cain of Keokuk, IA; Chandler Cain of Quincy, IL; Alex Jones of Monmouth, IL; Braydon Jones of Little York, IL; Dustin Redmond of Hahnville, LA; Cassidy Redmond of Hahnville, LA; Kenneth Bergheger III of Hahnville, LA; her uncle: Zach (Hannah) McClain of Keokuk, IA; her aunt: Samantha (Tim) Glasscock of Keokuk, IA; her niece; Delilah Redmond of Hahnville, LA.

She loved her family and friends more than anything and enjoyed listening to music, watching sunsets, anything to do with the outdoors, dabbling with photography, self-reflecting, and touching lives. She always dreamed of traveling the world and living life as one big adventure.

Erin will be remembered for her beautiful smile that would light up the whole world, her amazingly warm blue eyes, her caring touch, and her big fun-loving heart of gold. She will also be remembered for the ways she touched people’s lives – always with love and compassion. She was truly larger than life and maybe that is why we couldn’t keep her, because she was meant for a much bigger purpose than we could imagine.

Although our hearts are heavy and broken, we will celebrate her life and try to find comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven watching over us and will one day be with her again. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all that knew and loved her.

All are welcome to take part in Erin’s Celebration of Life at First Christian Church in Keokuk, IA (3476 Main St.) on September 11, 2021, at 3 pm. Private family burial service will be held on a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL.
