Geane Reed Obituary

Geane Marie Reed, 89, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Montebello Healthcare Center in Hamilton.

Geane was born November 5, 1929, the daughter of Charles M. and Pearl V. (Kraft) Reed in Nauvoo, Illinois. She graduated from Fountain Green High School. She loved working at Sherricks Drug Store and was a faithful employee for 44 years. Geane enjoyed puzzle books and sewing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carthage.

Geane is survived by her sister Doris Reed of Carthage, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Burial will follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 at the Funeral Home on Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Carthage.
