Geraldine Reidner

Geraldine Margaret Lasswell Reidner, 98, of Burnside, passed away Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

Geraldine was born December 8, 1919, in Wiggins, Colorado, the daughter of Jerry B. and Lena Leolia (Bross) Lasswell.  She had  four sisters, Iva Iola, Velna EiLeen, Neva Lavern and Garnet Nedra; three brothers, Vilas Bross, Harold Alvin and Lawrence Maylon. 

On April 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lyle L. “Slim” Reidner.  They later adopted Ben Reidner during their marriage.  Geraldine lived on their farm in rural Burnside her adult life and was an active member of the Burnside Methodist Church.  She had worked at Schaffer Pen in Ft. Madison during WWII.  Geraldine always considered herself a blessed woman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday afternoon, September 27, 2018, at the Burnside Methodist Church in Burnside, Illinois with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the Burnside Methodist Church from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M.  Memorials may be directed to the Burnside Methodist Church.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
