Glenadyne Piercy Obituary

Glenadyne Carolyn Piercy, 81, of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at her home.

Glenadyne was born April 21, 1942, the daughter of Henry Francis and Velma Lydia (Hufendick) Rockenfield in Mendon, Illinois.  She attended Warsaw High School graduating in 1960 and then went on to receive her secretarial degree.  In 1965, she was united in marriage to Gerald H. Hackemack and they had three children, Gerald, Glenda and Gaylen.  On October 28, 2004, she was united in marriage to Windell “Del” Piercy in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He preceded her in death in 2011.  Glenadyne had worked for the sheriff’s department in Hancock County as a dispatcher for many years and later in the time office at Roquette America in Keokuk for 15 years.  Glenadyne was an active member of the Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga and enjoyed the women’s fellowship and Mother and Daughter banquets.  She loved playing Bingo in Keokuk, Hamilton and Warsaw and playing cards with her friends.  She always enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and going to their activities and visiting with friends and family. 

Glenadyne is survived by children, Gerald (Lisa) Hackemack of Lake of the Hills, Illinois, Glenda (Lyndle) Hackemack Wedding of Quincy, and Gaylen (Amie) Hackemack of Wake Forest, NC; a step-son, Windell (Kim) Piercy of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Ashley and Jay Swingel, Amber Clark, and Luke, Josey, Hayden and Grant Hackemack and Ryah Piercy; and one great grandchild, Mason Swingel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Windell “Del” Piercy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton with family meeting friends from 5:00 – 7:00.  Memorials may be directed to the Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga.  Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
