Hazel J. Beeler

Hazel Josephine Beeler, 95, of Warsaw, passed away at 10:20 PM Monday night, December 21, 2020 at the Montebello Care Center in Hamilton.

Hazel was born August 1, 1925, in Sutter, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond Frederick and Marie Anna (Nagel) Buckert.  She attended the one room schoolhouse near Sutter.  She was Confirmed at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ near Sutter on May 28th, 1939.  On June 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to Carroll Frederick Beeler at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ.  Hazel enjoyed word search puzzles and was well known for her hospitality, especially never leaving her home without first having cake and ice cream.  She was universally known and spoken of as a sweet lady.

Hazel is survived by a daughter, Sharon Fryrear of Mendon; two sons, Ronald (Judy) Beeler of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Les (Martha) Beeler of Warsaw; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren and one on the way; thirteen great great grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Luft of Hamilton and Bernice Clark of Sutter; a brother, Carroll (Suzanne) Buckert of Carthage; sister-in-law, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Buckert; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll in 2012; two sons, Darrell and Myron Beeler; a grandson, Marc Beeler; a son-in-law, DeWayne Fryrear; and siblings, Mary Wells, Blanche Slothauber, Goldie Caley, Paul Buckert and Leo Buckert.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw.  Extended visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.  Memorials may be directed to the Montebello Manor Health Care Center Activity Fund.  Printy Funeral Home of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
