Helen K. (Sparks) Finton

Helen K. Finton, 57, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.

Helen was born on September 22, 1963, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Allen G. and Ramona J. (Grubbs) Sparks. She married Robert “Bob” Finton on June 28, 1980 in Warsaw. He survives.

Helen loved to go RV camping. She enjoyed shopping online at Amazon. Helen thoroughly loved spending time with her dog Patches and especially treasured time with her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her husband Bob; three sons: Robert “Robbie” (Lacey) Finton of Hamilton, IL and Steven Finton and Kaleb Finton of Warsaw, IL; one daughter: Faye (Roy) Launer of Warsaw, IL; eight grandchildren: Lane Finton, Dayton Heston, Dakota Heston, Coy Finton, Kailynn Launer, Kayleigh Finton, Tanner Finton and Klara Launer; one brother: Dennis (Valerie) Sparks of LaGrange, MO; one sister: Penny (Sid) Smith of Warsaw, IL; mother-in-law Alma Finton of Warsaw, IL; many nieces, nephews and cousins and her dog Patches.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, sister Catherine Sparks, father-in-law Jerry Finton, brother-in-law Bob Land and nephew Dennis Sparks, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held directly before the service from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be directed to Warsaw Fire Department or Hamilton Aquatic Center.
