Holly Lynn Russell

Holly Lynn Russell, 61, of Carthage, passed away at 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Holly was born February 5, 1961, the daughter of Hamilton and Helen (Verguson) Morrison in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Byron High School in 1979. She then attended Soumi College in Houghton, MI. Holly was united in marriage in 1987 to Jim Russell. She was a member at Burnside Christian Church for many years. Holly enjoyed knitting hats and gloves in her spare time which caused Jim to sit on a lot of pins over the years.

Holly is survived by her husband, Jim Russell; two daughters, Chelse Russell of Idaho, Amelia Russell of Kendallville, IN; two sons, Taylor (Taya) Russell of Constantine, MI, Daniel (Joy) Russell of Dallas City, IL; three sisters, Nancy (Lee) Foster of Laharpe, IL, Dorothy Morrison of Carthage, MO, Catherine (Dennis) Graham of Howell, MI; two brothers, Hamilton (Ruby) Morrison Jr of Gone Springs, MS, and Dana (Karen) Morrison of St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren, Jerico Russell, Addison Russell, RJ Russell, and Harmony Russell.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Diana Morrison; two sisters, Gail Burmeister, Sally Tipton; and one brother, Herbert James Morrison.

A memorial service will be held August 31, 2022 at Burnside Christian Church at 10:00am. Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
