Karen Sue Barber

Karen Sue Barber, 71, of Donnellson, formerly of Warsaw, passed at 3:56 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Donnellson Care Center.

Karen was born July 3, 1950, the daughter of Kenneth and Wahneta Mae (Buckert) Leffler in Keokuk, Iowa.  She graduated from Warsaw High School.  She had worked at Wiz-Mow and Joy Mart in Warsaw and then at Methode Electronics in Carthage for several years.  She was united in marriage to Allan Householder and he preceded her in death in 1974.  In 1994, she was united in marriage to Richard Barber.  He survives.

Karen is survived by her husband, Richard, of Donnellson; son, Brad (Patti) Householder of Basco; grandchildren, Trystan, Kyle and Breann Householder; great grandson, Nolan Householder; and her sister, Linda (Dean) Peterson of Peoria, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allan Householder; and a brother, Kenneth Leffler.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning, September 15, 2021, at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw.  Memorials may be directed to the family of Karen Barber.  Printy Funeral Home of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
