Marvin Lowell Bilderback passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, II., age 84. Marvin had been a resident at Quincy, Il. Veteran's Home for six and one-half years. The family wishes to thank the staff for his wonderful care.
He was born in Chicago, Il. March 24, 1934, to Sterling G. Bilderback and Margaret L. (Harrison) Bilderback Kilpatrick. He graduated from Bowen, Il. High School on May 22, 1953. He served in the U. S. Army from June 25,1954 to Feb. 24, 1956. Marvin retired from his production career for Admiral/Maytag Corp., Galesburg, Il., on May 27, 1992. He received a 25-year service award from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He later moved to Fillmore, Il. where he spent his retirement years. He was predeceased by his beloved canine, Buddy.
Marvin married Bettye Sue (Dunn) Adams on July 5, 1958. They divorced Oct. 4, 1966. He later married Xochitl Sandoval on Nov. 27, 1972, and they divorced April 30, 1973. Marvin is survived by his brother, Roger Bilderback and sister-in-law, Joyce, Ballwin, Mo. and his brother, Dr. Robert Bilderback, Springfield, Il. Also surviving are nieces Teresa Bilderback, Harrisonville, Mo., Sheri Bilderback, Brentwood, Mo., Lisa Bilderback, El Paso, Texas, and greatniece, Lisa Nicole; nephews, Nicholas Bilderback, Los Angeles, Calif and Robert Bilderback, Chandler, Ariz.
An inurnment service will be conducted Sat., July 21, 10:30 a.m. at the Bowen Abbey Cemetery Mausoleum, by the Reverend Dave Hall, Protestant Chaplin, Quincy, Il. Veteran's Home. Friends and family are invited.
