Rebecca “Becky” Lynne Karle, 59, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Becky was born on March 13, 1960, in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Billy Dean and Helen Delores (Fohey) McElhoe. On July 28, 1979, she was united in marriage to Richard George Karle in Alexandria, Missouri. He survives.
A 1978 graduate of Highland High School, Becky went on to work at the Warsaw Public Library for nineteen years. She enjoyed serving as a Girl Scout leader when her children were young, and spent her later years cheering on her grandchildren at every sporting event. Her life revolved around the grandchildren she loved so dearly.
Becky is survived by her husband Richard George Karle of Warsaw, Illinois; two children: Jennifer (Chad) Flynn and Jordan Karle, both of Warsaw; her step-mother Emma Lumley of Novelty, Missouri; three granddaughters: Aubree, Kellie and Kyra Karle, all of Warsaw; her sister Barbara Frazier of Warsaw; three brothers: David McElhoe of Shelbina, Missouri; Donald (Robin) McElhoe of Montrose, Iowa; and Robert (Kim) McElhoe of Hunnewell, Missouri; three step-siblings: J.C. (Laura) Claus of Bethel, Missouri; Dena (Patrick) Ireland of Hunnewell, Missouri; and Curt (Tammy) Claus of Shelbina, Missouri; and three sisters-in-law: Lorraine Milton of Warsaw; Joanna (Darrel) Boll of Ankeny, Iowa; and Angela (Jim) Manganello of Keokuk, Iowa. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, her son Justin, a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Becky’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, from 2 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials in memory of Becky may be made to the family for her grandchildren’s education and sports.
