Robert “Robbie” Wayne Rohrbough, 66, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at his home.
Robbie was born on March 8, 1955, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of S. Wayne and Norma (Ruffcorn) Rohrbough. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1973 and was united in marriage to Florence Gilliam in Warsaw in 1976. She preceded him in death in September of 1996.
Robbie was employed at Hubinger for many years and also worked as a farm hand later in life. Robbie had many different hobbies, and did a little bit of everything. A few of his hobbies included hunting, attending rock concerts, collecting guitar picks, raising tropical fish and kayaking. Robbie was proud to display his antique gas engines at shows, and enjoyed his Lionel trains. He also loved celebrating the 4th of July with his family.
Robbie is survived by his father S. Wayne Rohrbough of Warsaw; three daughters: Amanda (Nick) Capaldo of Warsaw, Amy (Eric Brotherton) Rohrbough of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Alexis (Ethan) Hotop of Hamilton; six grandchildren: Addison, Ellie, Brooklyn, Taylor, Iversen and Elliot; his sister Marcia (Terry) Ayers of Virginia, Illinois; and his beloved dog Pee Wee.
Robbie is preceded in death by his wife Florence, his mother Norma, his sister Susan and his partner Lesa Job.
Robbie’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 10 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends from 5 to 7 pm.
Memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon.
