Scott Michael Scheetz, 64, of Hamilton, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 4:26 AM at The Somers Hospice House in Sebring, Florida.
Scott was born September 3, 1957, the son of Leroy and Wanda (Neff) Scheetz in Carthage, Illinois. On June 6, 1981, he was united in marriage to Tracy Lynn Evans at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Carthage, Illinois. Scott was a life long farmer and a graduate of Southeastern Community College with a degree in auto mechanics. He enjoyed cars and airplanes having built his own Sonex 1139 experimental aircraft. Scott was a member of The Experimental Aircraft Association, a certified pilot and flight instructor, Carthage Lions Club, a past member of the Carthage Memorial Hospital Board, and enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.
Scott is survived by one sister, Vicki (Jim) Hardy and one brother, Rex (Susan) Scheetz of Carthage. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews: Brooke Flesner, Alan Scheetz, Michelle Reynolds and Taylor Hardy and many great nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Tracy and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Thornber Cemetery near Powellton, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to Thornber Cemetery. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
