Sharon Kay Jenkins

Sharon “Cher” Kay Jenkins, 77, formerly of Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Heritage Health in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.

Sharon or “Cher” as she was known was born November 12, 1945, the daughter of Donald R. Ehmen and Florine M. Bruns in Quincy, Illinois. She attended Mendon High School and was the class of 63’ Homecoming Queen. She later went on to complete LPN training and worked as an LPN for St. Mary’s.

Cher worked many other jobs throughout her life. She sold cars in Quincy for many years as well as her own business “Sports Cars Unlimited” in Warsaw. She did personal housekeeping and even spent time working as a DJ, doing sound and light shows. Cher never met a stranger.

She is survived by her children; Chris (Carlee) Jenkins of Keokuk, IA, Jo Hamann of Hamilton, IL, and Alan (Nicole Meyersick) Jenkins of Warsaw, IL; her grand-children; Alex Homan, Shelby (Shawn) Homan-Woods, Jenny Jenkins, and Maia (Eli) Riddle; her siblings; Bonnie (Paul) Bruenger, Nancy (Bob) Buss, and Ronnie (Patty) Ehmen; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at a later date. Printy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
