Joetta Ruffcorn Obituary

Joetta Ruffcorn, 82, of Norwalk, Iowa, formerly of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, at her home in Norwalk.

Joetta was born on May 30, 1936, in Wilcox Township, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Detta (Martin) Pfeiferling. On October 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Chester Junior Ruffcorn, Jr., in Warsaw, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

A lifelong resident of Warsaw, Joetta was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw and the American Legion. She enjoyed working in her yard and visiting with her friends.

Joetta is survived by her son Brett Ruffcorn of Norwalk, Iowa; a brother Fred (Betty) Pfeiferling of Warsaw, Illinois; and two sisters: Julie Smeltser of Wayland, Missouri; and Janet (Kenny) Frey of Lakewood, Iowa.

Joetta is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

According to her wishes, no services will be held.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw or Hancock County EMS.
