Patricia "Patty" L. (Fenton) Mahoney

Patricia “Patty” L. Mahoney, 63, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019, at Unity Point Health in Keokuk.

Patricia was born on September 29, 1955, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Madge (Carroll) Fenton. On April 26, 1975, she was united in marriage to Patrick Mahoney at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hamilton. They were later divorced.

A lifelong resident of Hamilton, Patricia was an active member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Hamilton for many years. She taught Sunday school, was a leader in the Women’s Ministries, and was actively involved in many other church groups and events. During her years of employment, Patricia was employed at Dadant and Sons in Hamilton, Methode in Carthage and Addus Home Health Care in Quincy. She also owned and operated Mahoney Concessions and The Outlaw Concessions, serving lemonade shake-ups and funnel cakes for nineteen years. When she wasn’t working, Patricia enjoyed planting beautiful flowers. She never met a stranger and could always make you laugh.

Patricia is survived by two sons: Tyler Mahoney and Travis “Rocky” Mahoney, both of Hamilton; her brother Allen (Debbie) Fenton of Hamilton; her sister Joyce (Larry) Schevers of Keokuk, Iowa; her granddaughter McKenzie Mahoney; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her dearly .

Patricia is preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Fenton and her sister Nancy Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1 to 6 pm, with family meeting friends from 3 to 6 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Faith Assembly of God Church in Hamilton.
