Rickey Leon “Rick” Dooley, 54, of Warsaw, passed away at 9:43 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home in Warsaw.
Rick was born December 21, 1964, in Long Beach, California, the son of Leo A. and Sandra L. (Rinderer) Dooley. Rick was a painter and sandblaster for Ziegler’s, Keokuk Contractors and All-States Painting. He was a member of the Painter’s Union. Rick loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing in particular. His greatest joy came from spending time with his granddaughters.
Rick is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Warsaw; daughters, Megan (Ryan) Brotherton of Hamilton, Allison (Kyle) Burnett of Kahoka and Rachael Merry of Pekin; granddaughters, Isabella and June Burnett, Olivia and Charlotte Brotherton, Cami DeWitt; and Koda and Tanner Merry; his mother, Sandy Dooley of Bowen; ten siblings, Allen Dooley of Norfolk, Viginia, Cheryl Perry of Bowen, Dennis (Tonya) Dooley of Sutter, Scott (Michelle) Dooley of Carthage, Hollie (Jeremy) Perry of Bowen, Tiffany (Jerry) Shepler of Bowen, Larry (Mary) Dooley of Oquawka, Bill (Barb) Dooley of Colorado and Marsha Green and Tom Dooley both of Georgia; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo; a brother-in-law, Mike Perry; and siblings, Phyllis Lee, Leo Dooley, Jr., Fred Dooley and Debra Mitchell.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Loraine Cemetery in Loraine, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
